An Oomiak is a traditional eskimo boat. The frame is made from pieces of wood lashed together, there are no nails or screws. The frame is then covered with walrus skin. This particular boat in the photo is covered with some kind of modern fabric. This boat is about 30' long. It is sitting on the ground upside down and I crawled inside it to take the photo. C.O.
