Springtime Boating

A few people are starting to get their boats ready for spring time hunting. We will still have ice here within Port Clarence until June, but 10 or 15 miles out to on the other side of the sand spit it opens up sooner. Both of these boats are standard 18' Lunds with 60 hp motors. As long as the ice is not too rough a snowmobile will easily pull them on a sled like this.

The Water's Flowing

The past couple nights we've taken some after dinner Honda* rides to see the snow and ice start to melt. It's amazing how quickly things change once the melting begins. I liked this view of the mountains to the East toward the village of Teller. The reflection of the mountains on the water was beautiful.

*All 4-wheel ATVs are called Honda's up here. We currently own a Polaris Honda but we used to drive a Yamaha Honda. How many people can say that?
